Not able to run Guild Wars on my vista 64bit. clueless right now.
Hi, I installed gw then tried to run it.
Got a black screen with the ingame cursor and sometimes an error report. I never played it on this pc. My graphics drivers were recently updated. Tried running it as admistrator, in different compatibilities or with -nosound. However when I forced -dx9 no change, forcing -dx8 I can see a vague gray picture of a pine tree instead of full black. So this might be a graphics issue. I really hope you went to the Guild Wars support fourm and reported this error. Link: https://forum.guildwars.com/forum/
They are going to need a bit more information about your computer: Vista 64, AMD Processor (which one?) Nvidia 7950 (only 2 MB?! GW requires 32MB). Well sorry for the bother but it appears to have been chrome that was hogging my memory because after I closed it, 1gb of ram freed up and guild wars started up with no problem at all. Thanks for the reply anyway.
